The season opens with a fascinating look at Chinese Imperial Costume.

Sadly we will have to increase our annual membership fees this year.  We are facing increased costs in all areas and our membership numbers are declining.  The good news as that we are still the one of the cheapest Art Societies in the South East.

Our speaker for the March lecture, Dr Aliki Braine, has had to cancel her visit to Malling so we will have to re-schedule her talk on Where have all the Women Gone? Luckily Colin Shindler is available to present Sixty Years On: Life in Britain as seen in 1960s.

The 12th annual Music@Malling Festival dates and programme have now been publsished and booking is now open.  The festival will run from 21st September until 2nd October. Full information can be found at www.musicatmalling.com.

The new Programme Cards for the 2022-23 lecture season are in the post so you should receive your shortly.

We are pleased to be able to return to the hall for the lecture on 8 Buildings for 8 Faiths.

Whilst the current COVID variant (Omicron) is with us we are unable to use Ryarsh Village Hall. We hope to return in March.

Booking has now opened for our Christmas lunch at Bartellas to be held on Thursday 16th December. Full details under Visits

Following the 'test run' last month we will return to Ryarsh Village Hall for the monthly lectures but additionally these will be streamed via Zoom for those members who wish to stay ay Home.

The virtual Tour of Aristocratic St James that was to take place on the 18th November has had to be postponed as the lecturer was injured after an accident.  We hope to re-arrange in the new year.

Music@Malling have re-launched their website – bringing outstanding concerts and outreach into people’s homes live and online. Lots of free and curated videos, playlists, talks and blogs to enjoy.  www.musicatmalling.com
